7th grade Gifted and Talented students at JMS celebrated during the month of October by researching the history of the Witch Trials of Salem Massachusettes.  Students were broken into teams of witnesses, prosecutors, defense, judge, and jury.  These teams worked together to study the culture and mass hysteria of the Witch Trials in early Puritanical America.  Students analyzed the time period and events and then reenacted them with the help of the JHS Mock Trial senior students Hunter Elizabeth Stone, Briley Lawrimore, and Tanner Wise.  Mrs. Deannie Durant played a wonderful Goody Proctor for the students to try and eventually hang.  The experience was an unforgettable and hilarious one.
